I attended a 3 days course - Standard First Aid course with Ms Song and Mr Cheah..

Holiday!! What are the teachers doing?

Dear SCs..

I am Miss Kong here.. For "old, experienced" SCs, u will be familiar with me. As for the "new, fresh" SCs, i hope u will be familiar with me soon.. :)

How are all of you? I think even though all the teachers are busy and pupils are enjoying the holiday, i believe all of us still misses WDP right?

Anyway, let me just share with you one of the events I had participated this holiday.. It happened on the previous sunday - 2nd Dec..

Have you heard about the Standard Chartered Marathon? It is a yearly event that Standard Chartered Bank will organise for runners all around the world to participate. There are many different categories in the run - Full marathon(42.3km), Half marathon (21.1km), Ladies/men run (10km)..
To support this event, i joined and participated with Mrs Chong and Ms Jovyn Lim for a 10km run.. We had to wake up at 5am in the morning to get ready for a 8am run..

It was worth it, as the morning breeze is very cooling, the city's road is closed for you to run.. Nice scenery to enjoy too..

Even though the running 10km was not an easy job, but all the 3 of us are proud to say that we completed it in less than 1 hour 30 minutes!! Aren't we fast?? ;p

After the run, medals and certificates were given..
Here is my medal!! :D

I am quite proud of myself..!! SCs, when you grow up, will you want to challenge the 10km run? or even the half or full marathon?? Do consider k..

Today just received consent form about the cancellation trip of the Mount Ophir trip. Aww . SoSadd. The training sure did tire you.

Games Day 1 was fine. Except some boys and girls were crying their head off. It's not about winning or losing. Just about learning something and having fun! EEK. My class did not manage to go to the semi-finals for Captain's Ball.

Only Trustworthy and Noble 1 managed to pull through. Jia yous. Can't wait to see them play finals. And not forgetting, battling against the teachers! My whole class felt sore about it but to cheer them up, the handball team went to the finals. WOOOOHOOOOOOO..They made 5 Endurance proud!

Oh gosh, tommorow is Board Games Day. I joined Party Scrabble (Group 2). I'm sure weak in my English. In my team are some other people.

I CAN'T JUST WAIT FOR THURSDAY!! Well, my class is having a party to celebrate the end of Semester 1. There will be lots of food, fun and games galore! Ms. Lee would be brankupt soon. :-)

Oh man. Now my results. I managed to get SOME GOOD MARKS!

Mathematics: 95/100 [A*]

Science: 93 and a half /100 [A*]

English: Unknown~

Malay: Unknown~

Higer Malay: 87/100 [Distinction]

My parents promised me some boxes of pizza and a trip to Sydney during the holidays! [not comfirmed yet] Oh gosh! Look at the time! I gotta sleep now! Already 11.20. Tommorow got Games Day SC duty. Toodles:)

toking abt stress. i think linshan has a bit of good insight when she wrote wat she wrote.
Frankly.....what's there to be stress about?
not that i've not been there before.
I've been taking exams from 7 years old right up to last year! and thus far, PSLE is the easiest exam i've sat for....i knoew i'll definitely pass...

I guess wat is most impt is, u know u have done your best, and you should then be happy and at ease with the results you've got.

You were given a chance to exercise your CHOICE - to give your best or not. watever comes after, is a consequence of your choice. watever choice u made, be prepared to live with the consequence.

so.......when i come out to work, nobody ever did ask me how many marks i get in my pri 5 or 6 midyr exam.

BUT, they do look at my attutude a lot; whether i give my best for my job.

Examinations Are Coming ~

OK. Here's the news. myself,Ms Lam, Ms Lim and Mr Vicknesh sacrificed our wkend rest and hiked up Mount Ophir over last weekend to do a recci trip so we can bring some of u guys up this June. I am very happy today. Guess why? I helped out in the International Friendship Day "bazaar". The sushi was delicious. The origami is wonderful. The toys are very fun to play with. I'm inside the Computer Lap writing. So, all the morning session just enjoyed it. I hope I got to volunteer again next time. Well, I'm very stress because the exams are coming. Hello Student Councillors,

Ariani here. Before i start anything; i want to say Happy Health Fair Week cum International Friendship Day to all the students who are reading this right now. Ma you all enjoy the activities that are organised by the teachers.

Today's Tuesday, I helped out at the Health Fair's Japanese Salad Booth eralier in the afternoon. It was kind of fun you see... We need to promote the booth and i did prepare the salad for the younger ones. When it was Primary 1 recess, i promoted like one babysitter trying to persuade the child to come and buy- i'll make that make and the sound. Hani will then go, "ape jee" that means, "what only" in Malay. Haha, yeahs, it was fun helping out the teacher to sell the salad. I took some pictures and will post it up in a while. After selling the salads, we then packed the left overs and i took one packet home. I did not taste it though because.. i dont eat Vegetables. Haha, but i know it's a delicious salad for everyone to try(:
After all of it, we cleaned up the place and i helped to count the money. We've collected alot of money- about $500plus; and all of it will go to the needy children from our school.
Okay so we left the room and said goodbye to the teachers. They thanked us for the helped and we said "you're welcome, in a sincere tone(:"

Oh Well, thats about it SCs. Im exhausted after the long day yet so happy that i've helped out at the Health Fair Booth.

This is LinShan here, posting 'bout the P5 Camp.

Well it certainly was fun!

But sadly, not every P5 had the chance to go rock-climbing, due to the rain! :(

I'm from BALOO, and BALOO definitely rocked! :)

I really think P5(s) learnt alot from this camp.

Of course, the camp was Gracious Camp.

We definitely learned to be gracious, more independent, more optimistic, and to be a better person.

Every boy and girl from WOODLANDS changed ther personality for the better.

Although in camp there were dirty, smelly and disgusting things, I really must hand it to those who are over-pampered!

THEY MANAGED TO SURVIVE!

But still, there were a few home-sick students, and they had to be comforted by the teachers, and some of them even went home!

And I think that this year, not alot of students went home. Let's put it this way;

Once you go home, you will ask your friends, "What are you doing now? Are you having fun?" Then you will regret leaving, as now you feel like going back to camp!

Yes, sometimes during camp they are rather strict, but still, that doesn't stop us from having fun at the same time!

In camp you get to sleep over with your friends, have fun 24/7, without parent supervision!

Even though there was rain, it certainly did not stop every group from doing the River Challenge, as well as the Nature Rumble!

Also, I really think the teachers are fantastic! They're there for us, and to take care of us!

I think the teachers've done a great job!

So, posting all this, I really want to let WDP students know:

WOODLANDS PRIMARY IS THE BEST!

heys all the p5s? did u all enjoy the camp?? well for me i enjoyed it =) it was fun isnt it?all the trainers r so funny =P as for our trainer [in charge of akela] which is chong he was fun though kindda have a bad temper :P but i still like him alot...well he knows alot of things hahas...like pole dance :P oh yah....he owes us pole dance!!!! hey where is our pole dance.....next time when we see him mus ask him do pole dance....i noe ask the p4s if got see chong mus ask him do the pole dance he owes the this year p5s our group akela also hav a boy named henry which is our group leader....he is an expert at doin sexy clap...we kept askin him to do hahas...then he also do the pole dance for us...he was sexy....hahas....anyway hope u all enjoyed the camp =) bye all good nites...... spent yet another 3 days at SARIMBUN...this has become a yearly ritual. Year after year i see girls and boys going through it, coming out of it tougher kids than before....they become...to quote an instructor...."less gu-niang".
In the camp, one learns to move out of the comfort zone- you really know what you are made od, STONE or TOFU.....ha ha ha ha ha ha

you thought you were really strong
then you realise you were really weak
no mattress, no fan, no TV, no MSN, no maple, no air-con
and you actually u thot u will die w/o the computer for a day
for the first time in ur life, u actually ENJOY bathing rather than waiting for mummy to nag.

the funny thing is, after all the torture....you find that u actually MISSED the camp.
AM I RIGHT???? ha ha ha ha ha ha a
